My first graders are a beautiful diverse mix of cultures snd backgrounds. It is my joy to be their teacher and be part of their learning journey. Our Title I school is in East New York, Brooklyn. Many students are lacking basic supplies and technology. I am committed to using DonorsChoose to help them achieve and overcome whatever obstacles they have.
My Project
My first graders are all struggling to learn basic math skills - even learning the different numbers. I need teacher math resources to better differentiate my lessons and reach each of my children’s potential.
I’m requesting a Lakeshore Ten Frame classroom kit and dough number games to set up small group and individual learning centers.
Ten Frames are a great visual and hand-on resource that allows the children to understand math values and concepts. And, who doesn’t like to play with dough to make numbers?! Thank you for supporting my teaching goals and my wonderful kids.
