This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Today during these uncertain times prekindergarten teachers, as well as all other grade levels, are teaching from home. We teach using forms of communication like phone calls and emails to stay in touch with our students daily. Students want to return to school to continue their basic skill building and social emotional skill building as well. Right now we cannot return to school and I want to give basic school supply materials to meet my students' everyday learning needs.

My Project

My students (families) cannot afford to purchase school supplies due to loss of or no income during these tough times. I would like help my families with this burden by providing math supplies to continue their learning at home.

Counting bears will help my students increase their basic math skills while learning at home.

And they could document and create math word problems while doing so with the requested math journals and markers. Writing skills for my prekindergarten students will improve, because it gives them more opportunities to build on knowledge of what they already know.
