My Project

So often our students lack basic needs to help them through their day physically, emotionally, and socially. By providing snacks we are able to make it a warm welcoming environment and maybe give food to those who wouldn't get extra in their lives. It can be a comfort and fuel for these kids.

The sensory items can help students feeling frustrated, nervous, angry, or those who are just visiting.

These tools help students keep their bodies busy while telling difficult stories or catching up with friends. They help connect body to mind at times and also help reduce barriers between body and mind to have a productive day.

The goal of this project is to have basic "Counseling essentials" to continue to welcome, support, encourage students to get through their days. A snack can go a long way and sensory items can keep them grounded. We appreciate you! The goal is also to help make the office more inviting and improve students coping skills.
