My Project
My students crave hands-on learning in science. The test kits that I am asking for will give them the chance to have that hands-on experience as part of a unit on the importance of water for life.
As part of the unit students will be investigating the question, "Could our city be the next Flint Michigan?" Letting students test their own and the school's water for toxic lead will help them see that scientific knowledge empowers people to protect the health of themselves, their families, and their community.
