Couches and Clipboards to Fuel Curiosity

Help me give my students some flexibility. The clipboards and highlighters help to create a flexible, comfortable space where students can research, annotate, and analyze history like real historians; focused, curious and engaged.

My Project

My students are curious, compassionate, and eager to make sense of the world around them. They ask thoughtful questions, love a good historical mystery, and thrive when learning feels active and meaningful.

Creating a flexible, comfortable space will directly improve how my students focus, collaborate, and engage with history.

Couches will provide a calm, inviting environment where students can settle in for document analysis or group discussion. Clipboards allow them to break out of rigid seating and work wherever they think best. Highlighters give them a tactile way to interact with primary sources by marking evidence, tracking themes, and drawing conclusions.

My goal is to create a classroom where students think like historians; not just answering questions, but forming their own. These resources will help build a space that encourages independence, inquiry, and deeper learning. My students care, not only about getting the right answer, but also about understanding the bigger picture.
