Our spring dance concert, "Can You Feel It", is a dynamic, high-energy production that takes audiences on a journey through rhythm, culture, history, and expression. This year’s concert features a stunning variety of styles: the percussive precision of tap, the sleek sophistication of Fosse, the joy of Bhangra, movement inspired by the grounded power of West African, and the emotional storytelling of modern, hip-hop, and ballet. Our students have been working hard to master technique while also learning the historical and cultural context behind each style.
To support their performance, we’re requesting funding for costumes that enhance each genre’s unique voice for every detail helps our dancers tell a story—and feel confident while doing it.
Costumes are more than just fabric; they’re an extension of the choreography, helping students embody the roles, moods, and traditions that make each piece meaningful.
We’re requesting support for:
Tap-friendly costume sets and accessories
Fosse-style jazz wear (sleek, stylized black and glam elements)
Garments for our bhangra and West African pieces
Hip-hop and jazz costumes with bold, current flair
Modern dance costumes that allow for freedom of movement
Can You Feel It? We hope our audience can—and with your support, our dancers will feel empowered, celebrated, and ready to light up the stage.
