This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

When you were a student, do you remember your hand cramping up after taking down note upon note? My students learn the valuable skill of note-taking, but there are times when it makes more sense to have pre-made graphic organizers for students to write on and glue into notebooks.

My students are sixth graders who attend an inner city elementary school.

They are hard-working, motivated, and determined to continue to make growth and progress. They are helpful and giving, eager to learn, and responsible. My students deserve to have the most made of every minute of school by engaging in meaningful learning!

My Project

With this copy paper, we will be able to do a multitude of things. For one, we will be able to readily create entrance and exit tickets to ensure that every student is accountable for his/her learning, as well as that students are truly comprehending complex texts. We will also be able to type up lab reports and other necessary materials that will be glued into both interactive math and science notebooks. Students can also engage in creative activities, such as creating their own books. The possibilities are endless with this copy paper!

Currently, our school district does not have the ability to provide us with the paper that we actually need in order to have smoothly functioning classrooms.

Often times, students will have to copy many things that are being projected onto the board. While this is sometimes a necessity for learning the important skill of note-taking, having more copy paper will allow us to spend less time writing down directions and templates, and more time on valuable learning activities.
