This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The student in my classroom are developing the foundations of learning that will lift them up and carry them through their entire educational careers. The skills they learn in Transitional Kindergarten will prepare them to solve problems they face in life, and equip them with the tools they need to manage their emotions and cope with difficult situations along the way.
Your donation to this project will give me printer ink to print resources that will help teach and empower students to cope with difficult feelings and circumstances, self-regulate, problem solve, and develop and maintain healthy relationships.
The problem solving took kits and emotional regulation routines and procedures that we learn in the classroom require visual reminders. The classroom posters I can print with this ink will students develop, practice and review routines and procedures for identifying and expressing emotions, playing together, sharing, taking turns, expressing compassion, walking away, apologizing, waiting patiently, taking deep breaths, using kind words, and engaging in daily positive affirmations. The ink will be used to print the visual reminders of these important lessons for regular reference and review. I am extremely grateful for any help you can give to help empower these young learners to be kind, compassionate, problem solvers that can self regulate and problem solve independently.
