This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are English Language Learners and are from high poverty backgrounds. We are facing a budget crisis and my students must receive instructional resources, and a laser printer and ink jets, so their lessons and homework can be printed. I am an excited, motivated, energetic ESL instructor at this school site and would like for my students to have more access to the online leveled books that can be printed for their school and home instructional reading reinforcement. Copy count restrictions, copy paper, and resource depletion and no feasible way to acquire them means our classroom really needs a laser printer, and ink jets. Currently, we have no available copies to print their instructional materials. 5 grade levels need these materials to reinforce instruction and with a laser printer amazing things will occur in their learning.
My students are developing writers and readers.
They are visual and auditory learners and this is their only opportunity to get these materials in light of our budget crisis and the laser printer and ink jets will bridge their learning in small group instruction. . Many of my student have need of printing materials and classwork printer. I would appreciate your consideration. Thanks
My Project
My students are deserving of all resources for their education and instruction. Helping students with their copy products, portfolios, reading materials, projects, student made books, classroom freedom to copy is important and vital to help our students learn.
My students deserve an education and Oklahoma City lost $30 million in funding this year.
We have gone from $25 per student to $15 per student. Many major areas lost funding. Due to a huge budget crisis in Oklahoma, the budget for basic printing and copying of pages for kids at school is almost nonexistent. I am asking for a basic laser jet printer/copier and toner for my students. In order to create a complete learning environment I am asking for a way to make the copies necessary for my students' everyday learning. I feel that it is important for my students' success in school.
