My Project
I teach first grade and my young learners need to build skills in working as a team. School teaches so many academic skills, but not enough opportunities to build social skills and learn how to work as a team. As a teacher this helps with gradual release so they can work together before independent practice. This helps students learn from each other.
Using tables instead of desks allows students to complete project based activities.
This allows opportunities for students to share learning materials, ideas, and thoughts. Students are more engaged with the content and have better days when working together.
