My Project
I teach a K-3rd grade special education classroom. The students in my room have severe social/emotional and behavioral disorders. One of the main goals in this classroom is appropriate peer interaction.
This playset will give the students a fun way to practice those social skills that they so desperately need.
This will give them an opportunity to play together and learn critical life skills, such as sharing, taking turns, imaginative play, and appropriate language. Many of my students also struggle with verbal communication and social communication due to autism or a similar diagnosis. This playset will help encourage that interactive play that will help build those life skills.
