This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our phys. ed budget is seriously stressed this school year. We are unable to purchase the usual regularly available items the money allocated to our department pays for.
We play a lot of cooperative games such as chase and flee (tag games), capture the flag, team handball, ultimate frisbee.
We have great students in a rough area of our city. We are a title 1 school and 50% of our student demographic fall below the poverty line. Spirit? Our students have great spirit.
My Project
We are requesting a donation of football waist flags that we will use in our phys. ed classes at all grade levels. The flags will be used to set up teams according to flag color. Along with the waist flags comes flag football also. We request for two 'aerobie footballs' which are a lot of fun to use and offer a variety of game usage. The equipment will be used to help our students learn, enjoy phys. ed, and have a better experience.
It is tough for many of students here to cope with the outside of school stress they deal with daily.
We are dedicated to working with these students and providing a safe, fun, and active environment for them to be successful in.
