My Project
As a teacher with 26 years of experience, the one thing I know for sure is that positive reinforcement works like a charm! Children need to be praised for what they do right! They also should be rewarded for working hard and behaving! My wonderful students enjoy putting effort into their work, and monitoring their behavior to earn rewards such as fruit-scented stickers, bracelets they can wear proudly, and of course a trip to the prize box! From experience, this helps my students stay focused on their work, behave better, and stay engaged while learning. Children do not need to receive a reward for every single thing that they do right, but they should have something to look forward to regularly. Stickers and prize box rewards go a long way in my classroom and every single child gets to pick something at least once or twice a week, if not more! I love teaching and I love making my kids happy, especially when they earn their rewards! The smile on their adorable faces is simply priceless!
