My Students
I teach at a small school in San Francisco. Students are learning in-person during an ongoing global pandemic. There are new safety protocols and mandates for student safety.
Right now students are being asked to learn in yet another unprecedented setting.
My Project
Students have been so flexible as we have returned to the classroom. For first graders, it might be their first time inside a school building. For other students, things are not quite like they remember.
Students are very responsible with wearing masks inside the classroom.
I am hoping that having new masks readily available will help keep them excited about wearing masks going forward.
Another safety protocol in place is for students to use water bottles. Students often have single use water bottles or forget to bring one in the morning. As a result, we are creating a lot of trash with bottles and cups. I want to give each first and second grader a reusable water bottle to keep at school.
