This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are energetic and curious learners. They are a group of students who come to me at all levels of math competency and fluency. Nonetheless, they all want to learn and improve their academic performance.

Each day, they come to school with a willingness to take risks and learn from their mistakes.

My job is to guide them in the proper direction, but I make sure to let them do the heavy lifting so to speak. Every day is a new experience and they treat it as such.

My Project

Our classroom needs a powerful, new air conditioner for our classroom during these days of oppressive heat. The indoor temperature of 90 degrees and humidity make learning extremely difficult.

I am asking for a new A/C for hopefully some part of this year and for next school year as well.

It is difficult to explain how much the heat affects our students and staff alike. When it is this hot, there is really no relief. I am hopeful that a new, powerful air conditioner will at least provide enough relief to make the students somewhat comfortable. Thank you for your support.
