This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are amazing little people, but just like big people, they at times need time to regulate emotions and calm down. We have implemented a cozy corner in our classroom that will be a space where the children can go to calm their feelings of anger, sadness, uneasiness, or just to relax. Some of our students need sensory support and giving them the weighted puppies will help in maintaining their attention and calming them down. When they are feeling stressed or anxious they will have a safe space to go to that will make them feel right at home!
