Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Young students need to feel safe, cared for, and engaged in kindergarten. My goal this year is to provide my 5 and 6 year olds with tools to de-escalate their emotions, feel safe, welcomed, and amused!
It is necessary for teachers to create a space that nurtures and calms their students.
Each calming corner will have "magic wands" and marble fidget tools. Usually students spend 2-5 minutes in the calming corner until they can join the rest of the class for the academic lesson. Thank you for your support this year!
