This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year, I want to create a calming area with my students. Sometimes like us adults, students need a break during class and a comfortable environment to be at. I want our Schoolgirl polka dot rug and adorable Kigley Round Floor pillows to be the main focus that entices my students. I want my students to use the Lakeshore boho bulletin set to then decorate the area to thier liking. While in the calming area, students can use the magnetic wipe and write sentence strips to create and display positive affirmations. Students will then receive positive reinforcement wristbands for visiting and participating in our class calming area.
Students can also use this space to snack.
Many times school is the main source of food for my students. I want my students to know and feel comfortable about eating when they are hungry and have this space to do that! Having the Ultimate Snack Care Package will allow my students the ability to snack when necessary!
Using these resources will help them achieve this!
