This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Where and how you are raised, should not determine the opportunities and experiences you are afforded. I am excited to inspire and engage all of my students to build upon interests, learn new skills, and inspire each child to find and nurture educational creative avenues.

With such a variety of socioeconomic needs within our school's boundaries, there is great needs to help give these students all of the opportunities that are available to kids in more affluent areas.

Our kids need and deserve to have every extra we can give them to help bridge the severe gaps that they have in their lives outside of school.

My Project

We have an incredible Foods program at our school. Students learn real-world lessons that they will be able to use throughout their lives. But ever since COVID-19, providing enough personal protective equipment for each student has become difficult. Usually, students need 1 pair of gloves for each cooking lab to uphold sanitary guidelines. But now, to reduce the spread of COVID-19, 2-3 pairs of gloves per student per lab are needed.

These PPE supplies will help students learn, create, and cook safely throughout the year.
