My Project

The items listed in this project will help our second grade students get hands-on experience across the academic curriculum and life-skill spectrum. They'll gain first hand knowledge of how some of their favorite foods can be made by hand, rather than purchased pre-made in a box or bag at a store. The boys and girls will be thrilled to read and follow a theme-related recipe, for example, gingerbread cookies and Food Pyramid pizzas. We'll use your donated tools to measure and mix the ingredients, then watch their creations bake in the little air-fryer oven right in our own classroom!

These smart little cookies will practice their reading, math, science, health and wellness skills while they follow a recipe from start to finish.

Their culinary masterpieces will not only fill their bellies, but fill their hearts too, as they share their homemade goodies with other staff and students in our school.
