My Project
These high quality pots and pans will help all my beginning cooking students cook with easy and confidence. Currently we are using worn, scratched, peeling Telflon coated pots and pans, many without matching lids. It would be ideal if all the kitchens in the classroom where working with the same kitchen tools so that no one is further behind than other groups, all because they don't have what they need in their kitchens.
This year we will be making Latino foods (tostada's, empanda's, burrito's), French foods (croissants, crepe's mini quiche, "French" toast, omlets), Italian foods (pizza, Italian dunkers, Alfredo, spaghetti), African & African American foods (sambusa's, fried chicken, a soul food bowl, biscuits, mac -n- cheese), Asian foods (fried rice, egg rolls, lo mein, wontons, potstickers).
They will also be making some baked goodies, such as chocolate chips cookies, cinnamon streusel muffins, chocolate mug cake, fluffy mall pretzels.
Having the proper kitchen tools can make or break success in the kitchen, especially when working with middle schoolers. Please help me, help them, to have a positive cooking experience by providing these necessary pots & pans! Thank you so much for your consideration!
