My students are individuals with special needs. One of the skills I am wanting to teach them is cooking skills. Unfortunately, I don't have a stove or cooking utensils in my classroom to effectively teach them skills they can carry through life. We are requesting items like an electric griddle, measuring cups, and mixing bowls to teach valuable life skills.
Learning cooking skills is a lifelong skill that all individuals can learn.
My students have asked to start learning how to cook simple things so that they can continue to use those skills throughout life. Also, having pots and pans to make noodles or toasted cheese would give them even more independence.
