This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As I observed the children in the community, I noticed that some of the children in the school expressed that they want to be able to cook at home. Right then, I thought about having cooking sessions for them. When I received wind of this donor project, I thought that it would be perfect for the students. With these donations, we can create a after school club of cooking sessions which would help incentivize students to attend school.
By providing various cooking essentials for students to utilize, such as pan sets and small kitchen appliances, this will aid in making the culinary class a success.
Another hope is to encourage the students to host occasional school/community wide baked goods give away, to showcase their culinary skills.
