Control Stick and Lithium Fuel for FPV Jet Pilots!
Help me give my students a yoke/control stick to fly FPV as a jet pilot.

My Students
These students come from diverse backgrounds and have a strong desire to excel in Math and Science. We are an inquiry-based classroom with no desks (just work tables) and we are always building together. Students enjoy interactive experiences and discovering new ways to solve problems; we are a room full of young engineers.
Over the past two years, students have had to adapt to many virtual technologies during the pandemic and become advocates for the next generation of VR for gaming, business, and other industry applications.
My students are quickly becoming the industry experts when it comes to understanding and using VR interfaces. We want them to expand those understandings of the VR interface by integrating physics and science lessons through rotorcraft flight.
Last year our students built autonomous robots, Hot Air Balloons, used a micro wind tunnel to design efficient airfoils that could improve lift on an airplane, hand-built jet-propelled vehicles, studied Bernoulli's principles, Newton's three laws, and the Coanda effect, etc.
Students in my room will be future aerospace engineers, software programmers, computer scientists, and will laugh at the phrase "It's not rocket science!" - because in their case it IS Rocket Science.
My Project
Our Flight and Space students like to be immersed in their environment while operating aircraft. What better way to do this than to provide them with an FPV experience in the cockpit of a commercial airliner or fighter jet. This control stick peripheral will give students the realistic sensation of controlling yaw, roll, and pitch with life-like movements that emulate rudder, aileron, and elevator components of aircraft.
Many of my students go on to become industry pilots that responsibly navigate through the skies.
This gives future generations similar opportunities by putting them into the cockpit early.
