This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
HELP!! We're stuck in the Jurassic period and we can't get out. The days when dinosaurs roamed are long gone and yet we are learning like the dinosaurs. Please help us keep up with the 21st century by bringing technology into our classroom.
I have 28 students in my class.
I have a variety of students from struggling students all the way to students who are identified Gifted. And of course everything else in between. Our school is not sufficiently funded by our district to allow us to have adequate amount of technology. My students are an inquisitive bunch who enjoys learning. But they need to be constantly motivated and challenged. Which is a challenge for me as well due to the variety of students.
My Project
My students are very bright and inquisitive but the resources available to us at our school are very limited. And some of the students have no other place but our classroom to be able to access a computer to explore certain subjects in depth. My students need a laptop and an all in one printer. I would love to be able to educate my students and motivate them to create and research using technology and a computer will allow my students to do just that. My dream for my students is to create a small computer lab with computers and a printer for students to have access at any given time in the classroom to have no limit in their creativity and inspire them to initiate their own learning.
We often like to tell our own children that sky is the limit and the possibilities are endless.
But if we don't give them the tools to even explore the possibilities, how can we expect them to start dreaming of a better tomorrow. Please help me to equip my students with the tools they need so we can create our future scientists, doctors, astronauts, authors, engineers, teachers, etc...
