My Students

Covid has put all my special education students behind academically and socially. When my students come to school they work hard to the best of their ability, but I feel it is taking longer to bridge the gap because of the circumstances we face now at school. My students do not have the same knowledge that previous students have had, and we are constantly trying to catch up. I love my students and want to help them bridge the gap!

My Project

This project will tie into my last project. It will help my students learn about their emotions, which all my students are a struggling with. They are having trouble identifying their emotions and using an appropriate strategy to cope with the emotion they are feeling. My students will also be able to fidget while working by using the Theraband tied to their chairs. A lot of my students are constantly moving. This is a great way for them to keep moving discretely without disturbing the class. Lastly, the kids love earning prizes! I will be adding the prizes to the prize box for them to earn.
