This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are inquisitive and outgoing learners. Throughout the year, they have challenged themselves to grow as readers and digital citizens.
They have worked to develop a collaborative and safe atmosphere in the classroom where we can discuss texts, scholastic ideas, and real-world problems.
Within time, the students became an inseparable community of support where real-life struggles were being shared. This group has shown immense maturity in providing emotional support through their growth in middle school. Not only that, but these students also vocalize when they are struggling with something, educationally or internally. That element of education makes this group remarkable; they work to vocalize and give affirmation of their peers' self-worth and ability.
My Project
These materials make a difference in my student's learning by providing continued clean air in our classroom. This will be used to continue utilizing the air purifier that was so generously donated to us this past summer. By receiving this resource, the students have an air purifier that is continuously running throughout the day to enhance their experience in the classroom.
My goal with this material is to provide continuous clean air in the classroom for my students as we make our way through the year.
When the students come in, the goal is to create a welcoming environment that creates a safe space for learning. These filters will be utilized as replacements when our air purifier needs changing in the classroom. This material promotes a safe return to school.
