My Students
My students are thirsty for books! I would love to add these books to our library to help them find their own interest in reading and their motivation to meet their AR goals.
My school serves a diverse group of students.
Many of our students have never owned their own books. They are not taken to the library on non-school days and do not have many opportunities to connect to the reading world. At school, we have one library day a week. They need encouragement and availability of resources to be successful in building their reading fluency and comprehension.
My Project
With new books in the class library, my students can get excited to read! I will also be able to use them as a read aloud in my classroom to help instill the love of reading in those who have never been read to. They will be able to build their reading fluency and comprehension reading while reading books of interest.
Donating to help us get these books will help improve my students' reading skills.
With new books and purposeful titles, my hope is for them to be excited to read. I want them to WANT and LOVE to read!
