Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our Continuation High School students really love getting their hands on labs in science and health class. These Fast Plants, geology labs, blood pressure cuff and stethoscopes we are requesting will make a difference in their learning by letting our awesome students do and see science in real life.
Our goals for this project are to help our diverse learners including English learners to have access to the science concepts through direct experience and to provide an active, enjoyable learning environment where our students can thrive and grow in their scientific curiosity they are born with and help them to develop their science, engineering, and math skills and knowledge.
What makes our students special is that although they have struggled in school and may face economic disadvantages, they never give up and try their best to succeed in learning and in earning their High School diplomas.
