My Project
Play is powerful! Using dramatic play centers provides students with opportunities to practice fine motor skills, initiate conversations, develop engineering skills, and practice measurement.
The STEM building materials will provide opportunities for students to build a variety of structures.
Students can use foam bricks to build a home, while others use straw connectors. Some students use wooden blocks for building and specially shaped wooden blocks for tunnels and arches.
Students will be able to strengthen fine motor skills using real nuts and bolts, measure with a tape measure, and ensure structures are level.
These real world experiences encourage boys and girls to work cooperatively, develop social skills, and use new vocabulary.
