Conserving Natural Resources

My students need books about the environment/natural resources as well as balance ball seats and Wobble Cushions to sit on and discuss these books and how they can help to conserve natural resources.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are an elementary school that uses an inquiry-based curriculum. Our students learn that it is important to be curious about the world around them. Students play a huge role in the direction of our lessons.

Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with 100% of our students receiving free lunch.

Our students also come from various cultural backgrounds. Although diverse in their backgrounds, they come together to learn how to become inquiring citizens of the world.

My Project

Books such as Human Footprint: Everything You Will Eat, Use, Wear, Buy, and Throw Out in Your Lifetime will help to enhance our unit of inquiry into Natural Resources and the Environment.

Flex-Space Balance Ball Seats and Wobble Cushions will help my students get their wiggles out so they can focus on the books they are reading about natural resources. Fourth graders like to move and groove while they read or are working collaboratively. The Automatic Ball Inflator will ensure that our Balance Ball Seats never go flat.

Learning will be so much easier when students can bounce or wiggle. Sitting still is hard for some of my students. With the Balance Seats and Wobble Cushions, students will be able to bounce or wiggle their energy out. I also have students who need to tap their pencil or swing their foot to help them concentrate. With the Balance Ball Seats and Wiggle Cushions, students will have a more quiet way of helping themselves to concentrate.
