My students need to be exposed to biology.
My students need a school bus because we can't all fit onto Muni (public transit).

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A typical day in my classroom starts off with a class discussion where my students tell the class the events of their evenings and we all practice the lost language art: listening to one another. We like to do lots of cooking and baking whenever we can fit it into our schedule.
My students are inquisitive, comical, and determined individuals.
All they want to do for many activities is feel anything they can get their hands on and bring the items as close to their faces as possible, let their eyes wander to take in everything in front of them. When we are in the kitchen, they love smelling and tasting the ingredients for whatever it is we might be cooking or baking. We like going to one of our many school gardens where we have herbs like rosemary and thyme, vegetables like romaine lettuce and spinach. They love watering the plants and repotting plants that need it.
My Project
We have a classroom fish that we named Confishious and the students love seeing the little guy swimming around. We thought it would be awesome to see larger aquariums with amazing aquascaping. We get to see up close how plants and fish look underwater and how they change over time. They would also be learning about the different environments all over the world. After we get back from our trip, maybe we can try our hand at aquascaping for our little Confishious.
This project is a great chance for our students to see how gardening is done in different kinds of environments all around the world.
They can learn how climate can affect plants. The specific exhibit we hope to see is especially unique because they will get to see how much plants adapt to life in the deep ocean waters.
