My Project
Launching our Connolly Cafe last year was such an amazing experience. Our students were so excited to hear that our project was fully funded and eagerly awaited the arrival of our coffee shop supplies. With our supplies in place we were ready to start brewing and serving coffee. No one was fully prepared for the incredible impact it would have on everyone on campus.
Our Connolly Cafe empowers our students in a way we never could.
In just one year our students became more social, independent and confident. The cafe allowed them to navigate through our campus with ease and build real connections with staff they would otherwise never get the chance to interact with. "Connolly Cafe: Take Two" will enable us to take our cafe to the next level. Students can improve on their coffee making skills while developing new ones. With the disposable iced coffee cups students will be able to offer a cool & refreshing alternative to a hot cup of joe.
Students will continue to work on financial literacy skills by taking in money each week and budgeting to make the most cost effective purchases with our earnings. Students are already brainstorming ways to design a loyalty punch card with the Avery inkjet labels and with what we learned last year we know how crucial the rinse pods are. With your support we can help Connolly Cafe to grow provide even more opportunities for all of our self-contained students on campus.
