As an elementary librarian and STREAM teacher at a wonderfully diverse school in Anchorage, I have learned that my students are so excited to engage in learning all that they can. I have the great opportunity to observe what they are passionate about with what they discover while at school. Because of that, I want to make sure that our school is full of experiences and resources for them to continue their chance at discovery.
My students are amazing and want to learn about so many different ways to encounter the world around them.
Their curiosity and willingness to try different experiences is such a wonder to see.
My Project
Our school has been working hard on implementing hands-on coding and robotics throughout the year. Our students are engaged and loving our STREAM lab approach to science this year.
The use of the Squishy and Snap Circuit kits would enhance our exploration of electricity and give students a way to create their own projects as well.
The more experiences our students have in STEM, the more their eyes are opened to amazing and innovative opportunities out there in the world.
