This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Working in a self-contained classroom you truly become a part of students' daily lives and routines. I want to make sure I am able to stay fully connected and present for my students. My students communicate in so many different ways and learn in so many different ways and I would like to be present for all of this.

My Project

I want to make sure I am fully available to my students and able to reach out to them however they may need. Using this iPad, I can edit their Google Docs with them live. I can hold Zoom meetings on the Ipad to hold reading groups and review lectures from their mainstream classrooms. I will also be able to facetime with my peers and discuss students who may be having trouble in their classes.

I will be able to film videos which I can later send to send so they can have a deeper understanding of the concepts.

This will help me better target students that may need one on one support that will be able to replay the videos whenever they may need. This will especially helpful in math as we are reviewing money. Many of the special education teachers decided to take this time and review how money works and is used in a real-world scenario. I can make videos that will better help students fully understand how to better use money.
