Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach United States history class to students in an urban environment. We use film to express our learning and in this case in to connect and learn about the community around us. Cinematic Arts offers my diverse students an alternative method to experience and understand the art of storytelling through a kinesthetic project. Students of diverse academic backgrounds work together to find value in the many strengths each can bring to a collaborative visual arts project. Heterogeneous grouping will support my ESL students with their English skills and acting in the film will offer an opportunity for them to practice speaking.

We have gone phone free and now need tools to be able to film and edit our projects.

The iPads will allow us to shoot and edit and the headphones will able used during the editing procces so that students can hear while they edit.
