This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from high poverty and low income backgrounds. They don't get many opportunities that a lot of other kids might get. They are hardworking students just with a few more obstacles to climb.

I want to provide them with many opportunities, experiences, and the tools needed to be successful regardless of the environment that they are in.

My school does its best to provide the students with what they need, but cannot always meet the demands. We are challenged to bridge the gaps that our students may have.

My Project

Our students have been impacted and their lives changed forever. As an educator, my job is to provide my very best when delivering lessons. We have been challenged the past couple of months with trying to reach our students. Keeping them focused and engaged has been a weakness for our students and our educators. Many of us did not have the resources needed and accessible daily to provide some of the basic lessons to our students.

Now that we know what to expect with virtual learning, I would like to give my students more of what they deserve.

The materials will give my students a better understanding of what I'm teaching them, because they will be able to see a model. I can work out problems and display answers to them. This will allow for them to check for understanding.
