Help me give my students a trampoline, a cozy coupe car, a sensory pad, blocks, a weighted lap book, storytelling kits, and puppets to support their engagement as well as sensory and emotional regulation.
My goal in my preschool classroom is for all students to feel safe, happy, and regulated so that learning can take place. All of my students have unique needs and abilities and have different ways of connecting and experiencing the world around them.
One of the best ways to engage my students in learning is to provide concrete visual and tactile materials, sensory supports, and high interest items to help them connect with circle time stories, nursery rhymes, play, and daily learning activities.
The story telling kits and ABC puppets will add an interactive and engaging element to our circle time learning. The weighted lap book, sensory pad, and trampoline will help support children with sensory regulation. I am excited to add Emotions plush toys and a book about sharing to our classroom Social Emotional Learning resources. Finally, cars and dinosaurs are of special interest to my students and the dinosaur Cozy Coupe is a perfect combination of both to add to our recess play area!
