My students need a notebook to help them stay up to date with recent technology.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Keppel's classroom raised $400
This project is fully funded
My Students
Remember when computers were huge cube shaped structures. Well for my students this is what they see everyday in the classroom. Our outdated computer is often working slowly or does not function at all. Students have difficulty using the old manual mouse as well.
My young students are eager to learn and participate in a variety of learning activities.
I like to encourage them to use technology whenever possible. Our school is in a large Urban School District where the budget has been cut severely. Our school does not have a computer lab. We do have a few computers that can be checked out by the entire school but this is often impractical since the computer is only available for a given time period.
My Project
This tablet will allow my students to use a touch screen to navigate computer programs. They will be able to conduct research and read books online. In addition the children currently participate in an AR reading program that is computer based. They will also use the tablet for this activity.
This project will make a huge difference for my class by allowing them to connect to the future.
It will prepare them to use current technology in a meaningful way. Instead of using antique technology that frequently does not work, students will experience computer use that is relevant. This will provide enthusiasm to all tablet based activities.
