This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Fifth grade scientists will experiment with energy. They will create circuits to understand how energy flows in a parallel and series circuit. They will also use solar energy to move robotic bugs. Having tools like rulers will help students analyze and gather data to support their findings.
By having students work with energy, they will realize how easy it is for them, as scientists, to make it work for us and how to use it to help better the world.
When the pandemic hit, inquiry based science learning became difficult, especially with low income students who lacked the materials necessary to fully investigate science based projects. This project will allow all students to get back to hands-on learning and be engaged in the wonder of science.
