This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Homeroom at our school is a place where students have a safe space to connect and participate in activities with their classmates everyday. We have activities Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays (Mondays are always goal setting and Fridays are goal check-in and reflection) that the students do that range from team building, games, life skills discussions, personality activities, financial literacy and more! I am in charge of the homeroom activities each day each week. I would like for our homeroom teachers to have more activities to be able to do with their students allowing them to engage with one another while also learning valuable skills. Hopefully the books will give me ideas of activities to incorporate into our homeroom lessons.
