Connected (Safely) Through Music: Recording Keyboard, Accessories, and Cleaning Equipment
Help me give my students access to high-quality music production/recording capabilities with a new keyboard. This will help me create meaningful distance learning experiences for students. Cane/plastic reeds and instrument cleaning equipment are also more needed than ever.

My Students
My students are bursting with enthusiasm and curiosity about music. Even amid this global pandemic, our young people are experiencing the connectedness that comes through music. The community is taking note, and our music program has more than tripled in size since the beginning of the pandemic!
Our school is in a vibrant community with rich cultural and musical heritage.
It is an economically disadvantaged neighborhood, but our students challenge the stereotypes every day by reaching new heights as musicians, scholars, and global citizens.
My Project
This keyboard with recording and multi-track capabilities will allow me to create better learning experiences for my students both in the classroom and remotely. Our music classroom currently has no working keyboard. We will be able to maintain more lively and fast-paced music lessons with this tool. The reeds and instrument-cleaning materials are crucial to students' continued musical pursuits, especially in light of COVID-19. It has never been more important to have sanitary accessories on hand (new reeds) and cleaning kits for every instrument (some of our instruments do not currently have the necessary cleaning equipment).
These materials will help foster a creative learning environment that prioritizes student safety.
Many of my students' families are going through financial hardship. I hope we can step up to provide for them the equipment necessary to not only continue with music class, but to thrive in the best possible music learning environment.
