Our classroom serves 135 bright, motivated students from low-income backgrounds who face daily challenges that can make accessing quality education more difficult. Many of our students lack reliable internet access or technology at home, which limits their ability to complete assignments, explore educational resources, or build critical digital skills that are essential in today’s world.
They are curious, creative, and resilient—but they need the right tools to fully unlock their potential.
Despite these obstacles, our students are eager to learn, collaborate, and grow.
Chromebooks would be a game changer in our classroom. With access to Chromebooks, students can engage with interactive lessons that make learning more dynamic and personalized, strengthen foundational skills in reading, math, and writing through educational apps and programs, and develop digital literacy and prepare for the demands of the 21st-century workforce. They can collaborate more effectively with their peers on group projects and shared documents, access online resources that support differentiated learning, helping both struggling and advanced learners thrive. They can complete assignments at school they may not have the tools to do at home. Providing Chromebooks isn’t just about bringing technology into the classroom—it’s about leveling the playing field, inspiring confidence, and giving every child a fair shot at success.
