Help me give my students a section in the library that speaks to their culture. Native American books for our students to read. Books like Fry Bread, Bowwow Powwow, and collections can make all the difference.

My Project

The majority of our students are Native American. They love to read, but the selection of books that speak to their culture is lacking greatly. We are in desperate need of expanding our Native American section in the library, but we do not have the funds to do so. This is where you come in! With your help, we will be able to design an entire section of Indian culture books for all ages.

Our community is a high poverty and a book desert area.

Only with your help can we give our students books they can relate to. Many of our students belong to tribes that are dwindling and we want to do everything we can to support and encourage them.

Please consider helping us expand this section in our library. All children deserve to read stories that highlight their culture. Help me give this to our children. Thank you in advance, from the bottom of my heart.
