This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me develop critical thinkers by providing students with resources to understand Math through real-life experiences. My students will learn how to use the calculator functions and be able to use the calculator to identify and compare the key features of the equations that are given. With these needed calculators, students will build crucial foundations upon which they construct learning environments where comprehension and reasoning are pillars of future success.
Fully funded, this project will provide our students with a resource to develop critical thinking and problem-solving.
The pandemic has affected all of us and especially the students from lower-income based families as they don't have the funds to purchase additional supplies. The materials will be used for firsthand development of rational thought and reinforced understanding of the application of book knowledge. Abstract thinkers will have tangible examples of how math processes come together. Visually seeing calculations manifest will open their eyes and minds beyond their imaginations.
