Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Some of my students come to school without basic hygiene supplies—things like toothpaste, deodorant, face masks, or even a comb. These missing pieces quietly chip away at their confidence and focus. No student should have to choose between comfort and learning.
This project provides care items—individually wrapped toothbrush kits, flossers, lip balm, lotion, dry shampoo, face masks, and more—so students can feel clean, respected, and ready.
It also includes academic tools like AP Calculus flashcards and a manga-style guide to help them learn in ways that are both accessible and motivating. Everything will be organized in a rolling storage cart for easy, discreet access.
Because when students feel good about themselves, they show up stronger in every part of their education.
