Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment means addressing not only academic needs but also students' physical, emotional, and social well-being. The items in this project include school supplies like mechanical pencils, highlighters, and organizational kits that will help students stay prepared and motivated. Many of my students do not always have consistent access to quality supplies at home, so providing these resources ensures they are not left behind. The iPhone case and AirPods cleaning kits will be used as classroom raffle prizes, incentivizing good behavior and participation while also teaching responsibility and care for personal belongings.

Additionally, items such as skincare products, hair care, socks, and cuddle pillows are thoughtfully chosen to meet students' personal hygiene and comfort needs—especially for those who may not have consistent access to such essentials.

These items foster self-esteem and confidence, which are crucial for academic success. Sports equipment and gaming controllers will support our afterschool programs, providing students with opportunities to build teamwork, relieve stress, and stay engaged in safe, healthy ways. Every item in this list has a purpose: to show students they are seen, valued, and deserving of a space where they can thrive.
