My students need the stereo headphones so while they are on the computer or iPad they can concentrate on what they are working on and we don't have the extra noise.
My students come to school because every day is a day to become a better person.
My students are 4, 5 and 6-year-olds who are very eager to learn.
Most of them come from low income families with only one parent who is struggling to hold the family together. They struggle academically, have emotional and social challenges, and many suffer from family issues that are out of their control. They live in a neighborhood where two-thirds of family household income is below the federal poverty threshold and resources are not available for them.
My Project
My students need alphabet stamps will help build sight word mastery as well as making sentences while having fun. These will also help students practice matching upper case letters to lower case letters. The ink pads will be helpful in separating word families. Since there are multiple colors they can use one color for the word family and another color for the beginning sound.
We use a listening center, computers, and iPads on a daily basis so I am looking to get headphones for my students so that they can concentrate and focus more when at these centers.
These will also help keep the noise level down during center time. In the end, the more focused students the more they grasp and master skills needed to be successful.
