My Project
About 800 incoming Freshmen will embark on an exciting journey into the world of computer science! Starting in the 2025-2026 school year, we're to introducing them to the power of physical computing with the BBC micro:bit in a new class, Computing Foundations for a Digital Age. These pocket-sized computers allow students to bring their code to life, creating interactive projects that blend technology with the real world.
Imagine our students designing and building their own step counters, creating mini weather stations, programming robots to navigate mazes, or even inventing interactive games they can play with their friends.
The micro:bit makes abstract coding concepts tangible and engaging, fostering creativity, problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of how technology works.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
