This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from a variety of backgrounds. The majority of my students qualify for free breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My students have a range of learning abilities that need to be met in a variety of ways. Having daily access to computers will give them the opportunity to learn how they learn best. Giving my students a safe, fun and stimulating learning environment is essential to ensure student growth and development.
Our schools goal is to prepare our students for success in high school, college and beyond.
My Project
Having access to 21st century technology on a daily basis will give my students confidence to learn in ways that work for them. Being a special education teacher my students are functioning at a variety of levels and this technology would give them access to learning at their own pace. Students will be able to improve their reading, writing, and math skills by being able to practice these skills on a daily basis.
Having this technology in my classroom will provide the appropriate stimulation that my students need.
I will use this technology to help my students on a daily basis transition to Common Core State Standards. Students are being given real-world problems that require technology at an earlier age.
